N. BILLERICA - Clifford Roland Leroux, 75, formally of Lowell, MA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 following a recent diagnosis of cancer at Lahey Medical Center in Burlington. He was the beloved husband of Deborah (West) Leroux with whom he would have celebrated their 49th wedding anniversar­y on May 4th.

Born in Lowell, MA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Sophie (Niedzwieck­a) Leroux. Cliff attended Billerica High School, and later served with the United States Marine Corps. He was stationed in Dong Ha, Vietnam where he served two tours of duty from 1964 to 1968.

Clifford spent most of his life as a steel ironworker. Later in life, he worked at the U.S. Post Office in Framingham, MA before retiring in 2009. He was a member of

The American Legion Post 462 of Boston, and was a former member of the Chelmsford Elks #2310.

Clifford enjoyed couples bowling with his wife, Debbie, and was a member of the Brunswick and Alpine bowling leagues. He enjoyed family trips to the White Mountains, Disney World, and camping in New Hampshire and Old Orchard Beach. He loved freshwater fishing with his son, Wesley, spending many days trolling around the lakes looking for “the big one.” He also enjoyed playing cribbage, poker, and vacationin­g with his wife in Largo, Florida. For the last seven years, Cliff and Debbie spent their summers with cousins Shirley and Joe Pierce at Happy Hampton Beach. On these summer days, Clifford appreciate­d lively squabbles with Joe, all in good fun.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Cari-ann E. Edwards of Lowell, MA and son Wesley P. Leroux, Sr. of Bradford, MA; twin brother Alan Leroux of Largo, FL and brother

David Leroux and wife Theresa of Florida; his sisters Kathie Boisvert of N. Chelmsford, MA and Darlene Costos and husband Alan of Chelmsford, MA; six grandchild­ren, Ashtin Bradley, Avery Potter, Kayle Potter, Wesley Leroux, Jr., Ella Edwards, and Paul White, Jr., and one greatgrand­son, Zamir Potter. He is also survived by his brother in-law, Ray-harvey West, and his wife Kristy; several nieces and nephews; cousins, including Mike Leroux; life-long friends Ronald (Porky) and Susan Powers, and Mike and Lorraine Priest. Clifford was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Mary C. West; father-in-law, Earl R. West, and his wife Aline; as well as life-long friend Bruce Wilder and wife Brenda.

Clifford’s family would like to thank the Manchester VA Medical Center and the Unit A-1 staff at the West Roxbury VA Medical Center, specifical­ly Dr. Justin Wheat.

Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at 11 AM in the Chapel at
