Duo combines for 9 goals in blowout win

Joe Williams scored five goals, while Finn Mcnabb netted four, as the North Middlesex boys lacrosse team leveled Lunenberg, 15-3.

Shaun Highley had the hat trick, with Mason Schultz posting a pair. Braden Amidon rounded out the goal scoring binge.

Shea Gowtor accounted for all three Lunenberg tallies. AMSA 12, TYNGSBORO 11 >> Senior midfield Luke Mchugh had two goals and four assists while winning 15 faceoffs in the double OT loss. Senior attack Tyler Hyland added four goals and sophomore midfield Jake O’brien had two goals. Freshman goalie Nicholas Palumbo kept the Tigers in the game, making 13 saves.

Girls lacrosse

GREATER LOWELL 13, MONTY TECH 4 >> The Gryphons (4-3) won their fourth straight behind five goals and an assist from Emily Sandelli and a hat trick and a helper from Julia Canario. Emma Finch netted two goals and dished out a pair of assists, while Mykaela Correia, Tyra Medina and Felicia Melendez had a single goal.. WESTFORD 21, NASHOBA 12 >> Kassidy Carmichael cued up the Westford attack scoring 14 goals and adding an assist in this nonleague win.

The Ghosts held the 11-5 lead at halftime, fueled by Lauren Smith’s five goals and two assists. Evie Weber potted a goal and an assist, with Erin Keefe rounding out the scoring. Olivia Cipriano also picked up a helper.

The Westford defense was solid with Ali Mammola and Molly Harding playing strong. Nashoba’s offense was fronted by Mia Samarjian five goals. Caroline Pinto potted four goals and two assists, while Kayla Flanagan pocketed three goals.

Baseball

NORTH MIDDLESEX 15, QUABBIN 3 >> Cameron Haley went 3-for3, driving in four and scoring three runs to lead the Patriots. Caden Kehoe added two RBI in the win, while Brady Reardon was 3-for-4 with an RBI and three runs scored.

Lowell 5, North Andover 3: Evan Rivera pitched 6.1 innings, allowing one earned run on three hits while striking out five and added a hit of his own, driving in a pair.

Jayden Villanueva had two hits, scored twice and drove in a run, while Alex Wyman had a double and scored once. Jovani Ubri scored once and Caden Smith picked up the save for Lowell.

BILLERICA 4, TEWKSBURY 0

Sophomore Nolan Dawson threw a four-hitter and helped his own cause with a two-run double in the win. Eighth grader Ryan Nelson put Billerica (4-4, 3-2 MVC) a head in the sixth with a two-run single.

Zach Russo pitched well for the Redmen (1-5), going five innings and allowing one earned run on two hits while striking out seven. Kodie Legrand had two hits in the loss.
