SURF­SIDE BEACH John”Wattsy” Watts age 71 died Fri­day, De­cem­ber 07, 2018 at Tide­lands Wac­ca­maw Com­mu­nity Hos­pi­tal.

Born and raised in Mt. Holly, NJ he was a son of the late James A. Watts and An­nie A. Kulp Watts; broth­ers, Ronald Watts and Randy Watts and a sis­terin-law, Hilda Watts.

John was a U.S. Army vet­eran serv­ing in Korea. He worked for New Jersey Bell (Ver­i­zon) for 30 years. He re­tired to Surf­side Beach, SC liv­ing in Ocean­side Vil­lage in 2001. He en­joyed fish­ing and watch­ing the Philadel­phia Ea­gles.

Sur­vivors in­clude his wife, Shirley Phillips-Watts; a daugh­ter, Kristy Phoebus (David); a grand­daugh­ter, Kayleigh; sis­ters, Bar­bara Stu­per (Henry), Bon­nie Watts, Sandy King (Reg­gie) and Donna Reg­ula (Craig); a brother, Jimmy Watts (Karl); mother-in-law, Mar­celle Phillips and many nieces and neph­ews.
