Funeral services and Celebration of Life receptions for Doreen Jennings Roberts

Our beloved Doreen Jennings Roberts passed away on February 13, 2021. Doreen leaves behind her husband of 50 years, Dr. Thelbert Roberts; their daughter, Delia; grandchildren, Jason and Tara Schnell and Tara’s son, Zane, aged 4, Doreen’s great grandson. Doreen graduated Perris Union High School in 1971 and enjoyed a 30-year career in outdoor advertising, retiring as General Manager of CBS Outdoor Advertising in Los Angeles. She was also an owner and the President of the Temecula Stampede Corporation for several years after her retirement from CBS. She did volunteer work with “For The Troops” www. forthetroops.org and donations in lieu of flowers may be sent in her name to that worthy group. Doreen was a simple yet classy lady. She is loved and will be missed by one and all.

Due to the COVID-19 virus restrictions placed on the family and services for Doreen, we have been greatly delayed in laying her to rest. Additionally, State law and the facilities will restrict attendance to her funeral services.

On Monday, April 12, 2021 at 10:30 AM, there will be a funeral service for Doreen at Saint Paschal Baylon Catholic Church in Thousand Oaks, Ca. This will be limited to 125 attendees, as they arrive on site. There will be a “Celebration of Life” reception after the service, starting at approximately 1:00 PM, on the Vista Terrace at the Westlake Inn and Spa in Westlake Village, Ca. The Inn will offer an event room rate. We would be pleased if friends and family of Doreen attend this reception.

Doreen will be buried at the Riverside National Cemetery but attendance to that service is restricted by the facility to 25 close family members and we ask that no one attempt to attend the service who has not been contacted and designated as such.

On Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 5:00 PM, there will be a second “Celebration of Life” reception for Doreen at the Wilson Creek Winery in Temecula, Ca. to accommodate friends and family in that geographical area. We would be pleased if friends, classmates, business associates and family of Doreen and Thelbert attend this reception.
