FRANCES THERESA JONES

Feb. 23, 1922 - Jan. 10, 2021

Our loving, beautiful mom went to be with the Lord, Jan. 10th, 2021 at the age of 98 years. We know she was welcomed into heaven by her sweet hubby Bill and sister, Eleanor.

Frances (Fran) Theresa Jones, daughter of Frank and Eleanor Zastrow, was born Feb 23, 1922, in St Louis, Missouri. The family later relocated to Beverly Hills, Ca where Frances and her beloved sister Eleanor grew up and graduated from Hamilton High School. She later went on to business school to refine her skills and enjoyed her job as a secretary at 20th Century Fox.

Frances met the love of her life, William Tanner Jones, (Bill) while he was on military leave during a trip to Catalina. Shortly after that they were married and Bill tried to convince her to make their home in his home state of Texas. However, not too many years passed, and Frances was able to convince Bill that California was the place to raise a family. Eventually they ended up in Riverside and then moved to Hemet when they became empty nesters. They were married for 65 years.

Frances was a strong Catholic and was a member of St Catherine’s Catholic Church in Riverside for many years. She had lots of friends and enjoyed everything social. Two of her favorite pastimes were playing tennis, bridge, and singing in Happy Harmoneers. Frances was a dedicated office manager to Bill’s Musi-Cal business for 24 years. After Bill retired, they enjoyed RV life for 20 years and went to all 50 states. One of their favorite spots to spend the summer was in their RV at Pismo Beach. Most of all though, Frances loved her family, including her 4 children, 12 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.

Frances was preceded in death by her sister, Eleanor and beloved husband, Bill. She will be greatly missed by her children, Steve (Marla), Kathy (Larry), Laura, Nancy (Pat), grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are pending for a later date.
