Redlands, Grand Terrace get new eateries

Mountain Grove seafood option

Étouffée Shaking Crab has opened at the Mountain Grove shopping center in Redlands.

The eatery specialize­s in Cajun seafood, but its menu features a variety of other items, including popcorn chicken, banh mi and croque madame sandwiches.

Hours are 11 a.m. to

9:30 p.m. daily.

Étouffée Shaking Crab is at 27471 San Bernardino Ave., Suite 120.

Septembers in Redlands

Septembers Taproom and Eatery opened in Redlands this week.

The new location joins others in Rancho Cucamonga, Rialto and Chino Hills.

Hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday.

Septembers is at 515 Orange St., Suite B, behind O’Reilly Auto Parts.

Denny’s finally opens

The downtown Redlands Denny’s has also opened.

The new location is across the street from its former home on the Redlands Mall property.

Hours are 6 a.m. to midnight daily.

The location, 110 W. Redlands Blvd., was formerly a Sizzler, and was briefly home to a pop-up restaurant in 2020 called California Grill.

New in Grand Terrace

Italian restaurant Mazzullis’ Family Kitchen is now open in Grand Terrace where another Italian eatery, deli and market — La Pasta Italia — once was, 22320 Barton Road, Suite C.

Days and hours are limited during their soft opening. Current hours are 4-8 p.m. Wednesday through Friday.

The owners are requesting orders be placed by phone at 909-783-6835. The menu can be viewed at www.mazzullis.com/ menu.

Reservatio­ns can also be made by calling the restaurant.

The family once had a restaurant in Fontana years ago.

Garage Brewing now in Murrieta

Good news for fans of Garage Brewing Company, the brewery opened its new taproom this week at 26015 Jefferson Ave., Murrieta.

The new taproom features a patio and offers 32 taps, including seltzers and nine barrel-aged brews.

Hours are 1-8 p.m. Sunday, 2:30-8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 2:30-9 p.m. Friday and 1-9 p.m. Saturday.

The brewery was originally located in Temecula.

Downtown Oasis first anniversar­y

Now that Escape Craft Brewery has two locations in Redlands, we get not one, but two anniversar­ies each year.

The brewery’s Downtown Oasis is celebratin­g its first anniversar­y from midnight to 10 p.m. Saturday, May 7.

The event will feature plenty of beer, including Escape releases and a selection of beers from guest breweries, including Brewery X, Modern Times Beer, Hangar 24 Craft Brewing, Karl Strauss Brewing Company, Black Plague Brewing, Mother Earth Brewing Company and Stone Brewing.

Food will be available from Tom’s Smokin Hot BBQ Pitstop and Barry Sandwich.

Live music will be provided by The Honey, The Shameless Band and Michael Landingham.

The family-friendly event will also feature a handful of vendors offering a range of items, including hot sauce, candles and dog treats.

Escape Craft Brewery is at 440 Oriental Ave.

Free fries at Burger King

Members of Burger King’s Royal Perks loyalty program can get free fries every week through the end of the year.

The free fries, any size, are available with any purchase made via the chain’s website or app.

Customers must join the Royal Perks program by June 20 to take advantage of the deal. Membership is free.
