Age 59, of San Bernardino, CA, went home to rest with Our Heavenly Father on April 27, 2022, surrounded by his family.

Michael was born July 10, in Chicago, Illinois. Peoria and Rockford, Illinois is where he grew up in a loving family with his parents, James and Kerstin, his brother, James Jr. and his sister, Lisa. Michael was not only an excellent student but an athlete as well. Hockey and wrestling is where he nurtured his love for sports. After graduating from Richwoods High School, Michael attended Illinois Central College, earning an Associates in Arts and Science and a Bachelor of Science in Business from Eastern Illinois University.

Property Management is where Michael began his profession­al career. After working hard and with much dedication Michael earned the position of Regional Vice President for Aperto Property Management. Michael enjoyed life not only because of his love for it but because he was able to share it with the love of his life, his wife of 24 years, Laura, his lovely bride he called “Chile”. Michael being an avid Chicago Bears fan convinced Laura to love the Bears as much as he did. The two of them also enjoyed Chicago’s baseball and hockey teams. He was a lover of classical music, running, being close with nature, Las Vegas, and time with his family. Most of all, Michael loved Indy, Mister and Missy, his three beloved dogs.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother Kerstin and brother, James Jr, infant nephew Jonathan, and Indy. He is survived by his loving wife, Laura, his father, James, his sister, Lisa. Marlena (Eddie), his daughter, Raymond, his son, his five grandchild­ren, Alexander, Alena, Ryan, Tyler, Marly and his many nieces and nephews. All his grandchild­ren called him “Papa”. Michael was such a loving person that he built long lasting relationsh­ips with the people he worked with and considered them as family. Michael will be dearly missed by his family and many friends. He always looked out for other’s best interests and often putting others needs first. His beautiful Swedish handsome face and smile will always be remembered in our hearts. His generous, thoughtful, caring heart, charming and humorous personalit­y will live on in those who loved him and knew him.

A Celebratio­n of Life is being planned for a future date.
