Ballot propositions will be topic for GOP women's group
Brian Sylva, a trustee of the Mt. San Jacinto College District, will be the featured speaker when the Redlands Republican Women’s Club meets 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Friday at the Redlands Country Club, 1749 Garden St.
He will discuss propositions that will be on the ballot this year.
The cost for lunch is $25; lunch reservations are required by Wednesday by calling Laurie Tremain at 909-792-2501 or by emailing reservations@ RedlandsRWF.org or RRWCFPres@gmail.com.
Those who attend only the speaker’s program do not need reservations.
Sylva, a resident of Beaumont, is the sports information director at College of the Desert and served in the same position for nine years at San Bernardino Valley College, according to a news release.
He is a former member of the Beaumont Unified School District board of trustees and has served in various positions with the Beaumont Chamber of Commerce, BeaumontCherry Valley Rotary, San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital Healthcare District and the California Community College Sports Information Association.
He is a graduate of Riverside City College and received a bachelor’s degree in history from UCR.
