Poseidon Huntington Beach defeated

The Coastal Commission has spoken: “Commission rejects Poseidon on unanimous vote” (May 13). The commission says “it doubts the water would ever be needed in northern and central Orange county, even as global warming makes drought conditions the norm.” So folks, when those alarmists tell us we have to cut back our water usage, let our lawns dry, when farmers must reduce their acreage, ignore them, the commission says it’s not true, we have enough. They say we have other means to save and create water like new reservoirs, more water from the Delta or from the Colorado River (that’s drying up), I say, bring it on.

The truth is Poseidon was the here and now, the others are pipe dreams.
