Facial recognition technology is a must
Re “Should facial recognition technology be banned?” (May 15):
The police currently rely on witnesses for describing suspects. Such description are notoriously bad and incomplete. You can get wildly different descriptions of the same suspect. Cameras and facial recognition technology is the way to improve the chances of identifying and bringing the right person to answer before a court. I’m amazed that the people who scream the loudest about innocent citizen being arrested and convicted are against such a reliable technology.
