Scholarship event: Esperanza Scholarship Foundation Dollars for Scholars, a nonprofit organization, will honor 97 scholarship recipients from 2021 and 2022 at the Mayor’s Gala 5:30 p.m. at Gardiner W. LifeStream blood drive: The city of Chino Hills hosts a LifeStream blood drive noon-5p.m. every Tuesday through August at the Government Center parking lot, 14077 Peyton Drive. Donors receive a free mini-physical, including readings for blood pressure, pulse, cholesterol levels, iron level and temperature, with results being posted on the donor’s private online portal. Gary Ovitt, former Ontario mayor, will narrate the program and Chris Hollister, assistant superintendent of the Chaffey Joint Union High School District, will give the keynote address.
