Festival offers cuisine from around globe

Diverse plates and culture were showcased Saturday in Eastvale.

Guests got to “taste the world in Eastvale” — as the event’s motto boasts — at the city’s first Internatio­nal Food Festival.

Food vendors include Bella Mia Pasta, El Aji Peruano, Swad of India and Hawaiian Honey Cones. Ryujin Taiko drummers, Mariachi Los Salazar and the German West Coast Pros Trio are set to perform today as the the festival concludes. Kids can go on a scavenger hunt and win prizes.

The event will run from noon to 8 p.m. and is near Eleanor Roosevelt High School.
