Riverside Philharmon­ic to close out season

The Riverside Philharmon­ic’s third and last performanc­e of the season is set for Saturday.

In its spring concert, Music Director Tomasz Golka will conduct

“Serenade for Strings,” created by Polish composer Mieczyslaw Karłowicz.

The philharmon­ic performed and recorded “Serenade” last spring with an abbreviate­d string section socially distanced on stage, a news release states. On Saturday, a full string section and orchestra will perform the piece.

The concert is set for 7:30 p.m. in the Henry W. Coil Sr. and Alice Edna Coil School for the Arts Concert Hall in downtown Riverside.

The featured soloist will be Fiona Shea, 23, who will perform “Violin Concerto” by Max Bruch.
