Memorial Day program: The Ontario Chaffey Community Show Band will join members of the Ontario Fire Department, Ontario Police Department and local military veterans in the Memorial Day remembranc­e program 10 a.m. at Bellevue Memorial Park, 1240W. G St., Ontario. Gary Ovitt, former Ontario mayor, will narrate the program and Chris Hollister, assistant superinten­dent of the Chaffey Joint Union High School District, will give the keynote address. Guest vocalist is Brian Detwiler.

LifeStream blood drive: The city of Chino Hills hosts a LifeStream blood drive noon5 p.m. every Tuesday through August at the Government Center parking lot, 14077 Peyton Drive. Donors receive a free mini-physical, including readings for blood pressure, pulse, cholestero­l levels, iron level and temperatur­e, with results being posted on the donor’s private online portal. Writers’ group:

The San Dimas Writers Group meets 1p.m. Wednesdays at San Dimas

Senior Center, 201E. Bonita Ave., San Dimas. The group is open to published writers and anyone else interested in joining a community of writers. There is no cost to join.

Art exhibit: “Creating a New Legacy Then and Now: Women Artists of the Pomona Valley” opens at the Ontario Museum of History and Art,

The exhibit, running through Sept. 4, features 40 pieces of artwork by artists Mary Beierle, Domonique Brown, Cellibacel­lo, A’Kailah Byrd-Greene, Gina Lawson Egan, Sumi Foley, Rebecca Hamm and Dulce Soledad Ibarra.
