Concert: The University of La Verne’s music department presents “Peace Through Music,” a concert by a group of guitarists from around the world, 6 p.m. Jan. 28 at the Ann and Steve Morgan Auditorium, 1950 Third St., La Verne. Women’s club: The Rancho Cucamonga Woman’s Club meets 11 a.m. the second Wednesday of the month at Kickback Jack’s, 10123 Foothill Blvd., Rancho Cucamonga. The club welcomes women who would like to attend as visitors and perhaps join the club. The group holds fundraiser­s to provide scholarshi­ps to local high school seniors and also donates to the Salvation Army, Head Start, the Ronald McDonald House and Pennies for Pines.
