Quilt show

The Santa Clara Valley Quilt Association is hosting its Spring Front Porch Quilt Show March 6-13, when members will be showing quilts on their front porch, fence, yard or window all around Santa Clara County. Displays include works by two quilters on the same block near downtown Sunnyvale.

The show culminates March 13, 2-4 p.m., with “Connecting with Quilting,” an online workshop hosted by the Santa Clara Valley Quilt Association along with Silicon Valley Reads. Participants in the free, family-friendly workshop will learn how to make a small hand-quilted project at home; they’ll also learn about the history and basics of quilting, and about community quilting projects around the world.

For more information and to register for the workshop, visit www. scvqa.org.

Donors sought for Rebuilding

Rebuilding Together Silicon Valley has started a Change Order program for supporters to make automated monthly donations of any size. The nonprofit, which normally hosts two Rebuilding Days a year to benefit low-income homeowners, says these monthly gifts will empower Rebuilding Together to plan ahead for these and other events.
