Reason to smile

San Jose resident Gabriela Alvarez has a reason to smile thanks to two local oral surgeons who started the Second Chance program.

Alvarez, 54, was selected last Thanksgiving to receive a free full-arch restoration treatment, a $50,000 smile makeover through Beech & Reid Oral & Dental Implant Surgery’s Second Chance program. On Feb. 25, Robert Beech, DDS, and John Reid, DMD of Beech & Reid Oral & Dental Implant Surgery surgically inserted dental implants that anchor to a temporary set of dentures, putting Alvarez on the path to a brand-new smile.

The procedure took place at the surgery’s Sunnyvale office. The oral surgeons also have offices in Milpitas and San Jose.
