Terry Thompson's fascination with the art of photography stems from his former 14-year career in underwater film production. His current work continues to emphasize the stunning natural beauty of nature, and recent projects have included close-up and in-motion subjects. Recent projects have fused the unseen heart of subjects with a vision of sharing something rarely seen in real-time viewing in order to create photographic art.
He is an award-winning photographer, who also has a specialty in the panoramic format. He shoots both stock and fine art images, as well as assignment work, and his award-winning panoramic photos are represented throughout the Southwest by art consultants. Thompson also sells his images for use through stock agencies as well as via his website, Terrythompsonphoto.com. He is a member of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP), having served as past secretary of the New Mexico board of directors.
The Day in the Life project was a firsttime journalistic endeavor with its own special challenges and lessons.
