Zoë Zimmerman was raised on the south side of Taos and, launched from the inspiration and support of an artistically fertile community, has achieved an international reputation as a fine art photographer. She graduated with a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1986 and began a career focused on antique photographic processes and prowess as a printmaker.
Zoë's work is included in major museum collections across the country and she is represented by The Photo-eye Gallery in Santa Fe. As “life abhors a vacuum,” she has returned to the south side of Taos opening a modest, natural light portrait studio in 2017.
She continues to pursue her art career while serving her community's photographic needs through her studio Zoë Zimmerman Photography specializing in portraiture of every sort. Her involvement in photography spans decades but her curiosity and interest in the medium has not diminished.
