LOBO LEADERS SCHOLARSHIP
UNM-TAOS AWARDS INAUGURAL LOBO LEADERS SCHOLARSHIPS
“We are excited to create additional scholarship opportunities for our first-time, full-time, degree seeking students. Patricia Gonzales, Director of Student Affairs
“Whether your goal is a certificate or associate degree, or to go on to a four year degree, UNM-Taos is a great option to get started on your academic pathway.” Patrick L. Valdez, Chief Executive Officer
In collaboration with the Bridge and Lottery Scholarship the Lobo Leaders award will allow a student to have their first two years of college paid for as long as they continue to meet the specified scholarship eligibility requirements. This is a great opportunity for students to start at UNMTaos, get an Associate Degree, and then transfer on to a four-year institution or gain employment. The scholarship was created in an effort to recognize outstanding leaders and encourage local area high school students to pursue a degree in higher education at their local community college. The Lobo Leaders Scholarship awards $2,000, over four semesters that a student is enrolled at UNM-Taos.
