Taos Municipal Schools now has a strong foundation to pursue our mission to raise our students to higher levels, not only academically, but also socially, physically and emotionally to succeed as responsible citizens. As we continue our focus on key educational initiatives with the goal of preparing every student for college and/or the workforce, we will leverage the strengths of the district to implement effective strategies that foster student achievement. Hard work, consistency, high expectations, urgency, focus and commitment will bring tremendous improvements and build capacity in our District.

We offer a high-quality educational experience to our students with multiple programs and activities at every school, such as, Community Schools, STEM Academy and Teach To One Math (5th, - 12th). Our teachers and staff are some of the most passionate and dedicated educators in this nation.

We continue to communicate and demonstrate our complete confidence in the transformation of Taos Municipal Schools, by charting a pathway to success for each individual child. The real challenge is ours, as educators, to hold ourselves and our students accountable for their achievement. Our children deserve the opportunity to fulfill their hopes and dreams.

In our journey together, working diligently to foster a transparent and collaborative environment for our families, we need volunteers in our schools, participation in the decision-making process and/or assisting with short/long term projects to improve our students’ educational experiences.
