Taos High School

Taos High School has achieved tremendous success on many levels. As your new principal, I will engage in a comprehensive listening process to hear the voices of our community (students,staff, families, & community partners). I want to build upon the strong legacy that the high school has established for students. My first 90 days of service will include the following entry plan to guide my work, to make sure that we build upon our strengths, recognize our challenges and identify the most powerful strategies to address those challenges. I want to learn as much as possible about what is working for our students and where there are areas for growth. I want to hear how we can better support our teachers, administrators, coaches and staff for the critical roles that they play in each student’s life. I look forward to this opportunity to listen, learn, and partner with you.

Opportunity gaps for students exist that our entire community needs to address. Tackling the social-emotional challenges our students face requires everyone’s engagement. Meeting the immense needs means developing strategic partnerships, seeking resources to build capacity and growing the current work to scale.
