What do you think is the most pressing issue for women in the workplace?

Equal pay on career opportunities with more to come.

List any involvement with groups/nonprofits:

I work with several groups that are nonprofit on and off the job. These are just a few: Las Carmelitas de Chamisal is a Roman Catholic society whose mission is to love, help and pray for the people. It closely resembles the Hermanos of the Roman Catholic Moradas and their purpose. Stray Hearts Animal Shelter who also helps the community and offers low-cost but effective animal humane care for animals in Taos and Taos County. FOE (Fraternal Order of Eagles), an organization whose focus is for the greater good of all. They are involved in events throughout the community that benefit and also fundraise to help Taos, Taos County and its residents.

If you could go back and tell your 18-year-old self anything, what would it be?

To continue my education and to strive to be a stronger more involved person in the community. To not be afraid to speak on the behalf of women who struggle because they are not considered beautiful, successful, talented, smart, etc., and to help as many people that I can and to always strive for the greater good of all humanity.
