The following is a condensed version of Taos Police reports from Nov. 21-26.
7:15 a.m. Welfare check, Allsup’s (north) – A blonde woman in her mid-thirties was overheard talking about scoring a bag of heroin. An officer who arrived at the scene learned from the caller that the woman had left in a vehicle.
7:41 a.m. Burglary automobile, Kachina Lodge – A caller said his vehicle had been broken into. He said his .357 Magnum and all of his probation officer gear had been stolen.
10:04 a.m. Suspicious circumstance, Taos Eco Park – A caller said some people were stripping a white 4Runner.
12:38 p.m. Animal stray, Mondragon Lane – A caller said her neighbor has a pit bull that tried to attack her.
2:35 p.m. Information report, Enos Garcia Elementary – A caller said some people were trying to get into the gym.
6:39 p.m. Trespassing, Salazar Road – A woman at Community Against Violence was demanding shelter, but the organization didn’t have room for her and had questions about her mental state.
12:54 a.m. Law, unknown problem, Walmart – A woman in the restroom was saying that she was in danger.
11:10 a.m. Breaking and entering, Mondragon Lane – A caller said someone was breaking into a building in the area, but a responding officer walked around the area and determined that the building was secure.
1:10 p.m. Welfare check, Paseo del Cañon East – A caller said a drunk man was hanging out the window of a silver Jeep parked by Camino del Colores.
1:44 p.m. Larceny, Maria Luisa – A caller said someone had been unlocking his fence and letting his dogs out. He said he kept finding the dogs at Stray Hearts.
3:04 p.m. Welfare check, Walmart – A man who appeared to be under the influence of something was sitting in a shopping cart near the store’s entrance.
3:32 p.m. Law, unknown problem, Paseo del Pueblo Norte – A brand new bank bag was in the front yard.
5:48 p.m. Law, unknown problem, Cordoba Lane – A man said an intoxicated person was trying to get into his house.
8:10 p.m. Animal stray, Weimer Road – A caller said a golden lab looked like it had been shot across the street. An animal control officer found the dog dead when they arrived.
7:29 a.m. Welfare check, Taos Plaza – A caller said a woman in a blue puffy jacket and black cap was yelling at people.
9:31 a.m. Law, unknown problem, Paseo del Pueblo Sur – A caller said he received a counterfeit bill and wanted to speak to an officer about it.
10:24 a.m. Law, unknown problem, Super Save – Two women were threatening to fight each other.
1:12 p.m. Law, unknown problem, New Mexico Children, Youth and Families Department – A caller said she got into an argument with her boyfriend who threw her medication out the window of their vehicle.
1:39 p.m. Welfare check, Walgreens – A caller said a woman who appeared to be mentally ill was in the area.
2:12 p.m. Utility problem, Gearing Up Bicycle Shop – A caller said a manhole had been opened up on the sidewalk.
3:42 p.m. Welfare check, Guadalajara Grill (north) – A caller said the driver of a white older model Chevy truck was driving on and off the roadway.
5:20 p.m. Welfare check, Bent Street – A caller said they noticed a man who had been sitting on a bench near the gateway to Stables Art Gallery for over an hour.
10:25 a.m. Trespassing, Station
316 Cafe – A caller said a woman was sleeping in a vehicle with Oregon license plates and wanted her removed from the area.
10:49 a.m. Assault, Smith’s – A caller said a fight was going on in the back parking lot.
1:17 p.m. Missing juvenile, DreamTree Project – A caller said a girl last seen wearing jeans and a red shirt had gone missing.
3:12 p.m. Criminal damage, Kachina Lodge – A caller said a guest jumped out at her as she was leaving the employee area and broke a glass window on a door.
7:19 p.m. Sick person, El Taoseño – A man in front of the building said he felt like he was going to die. He believed he was having a seizure.
8:02 p.m. Medical unknown, Latilla Lane – A caller said her brother had taken something and was vomiting and aspirating.
8:49 p.m. Welfare check, Gusdorf Road – A caller said someone was in a shopping cart and wasn’t moving. They said they were going to go down to check on them to see if they were OK.
10:26 p.m. Shots fired, Taos Valley RV Park – A caller said several shots had been fired near Ruby Du Lane.
10:44 p.m. Welfare check, Taos Eco Park – A woman who was sleeping on some blankets inside one of the bathrooms was refusing to leave.
12:14 p.m. Sex offense adult, Cruz Alta Road – A caller said a woman was talking about suicide and said she had been raped in her vehicle the night before.
2:16 p.m. Missing juvenile, DreamTree Project – A missing juvenile returned to the property.
3:26 p.m. Assault, Plaza Road – A caller said a man in a black Cadillac got out and was beating up a homeless man.
3:35 p.m. Criminal damage, John Dunn House Shops – A caller said that a man went up to his blue Hyundai Sonata and slashed his tire.
4:15 p.m. Medical unknown, Smith’s – A man who had been involved in a fight fell and hit his head.
7:19 p.m. Welfare check, Gusdorf Place – A caller said an elderly man was in the care of two individuals who were not providing him with money or food and had drugs “all over the place” at their residence.
9:25 p.m. Law, unknown problem, IHOP – A caller said a drunk man had fallen asleep in the restaurant’s bathroom.
7:33 a.m. Harassment, Taos High School – A caller said his friend was afraid to get out of her vehicle because she thought someone was following her.
8:42 a.m. Burglary commercial, El Pueblo Lodge – A caller said someone cut through their gate to get into the housekeeping and maintenance room sometime during the night.
9:48 a.m. Disturbing the peace, Taos Post Office, 318 Paseo del Pueblo Norte – A caller said a woman wearing a gray jacket was becoming irate with staff.
10:30 a.m. Abandoned vehicle, Roman Court – A caller said a gray compact was on the side of the road and appeared to have been involved in a crash.
10:50 a.m. Domestic disturbance, Gusdorf Place – A caller said her boyfriend was trying to make her leave but had taken the keys to her car.
12:21 p.m. Traffic accident, injury, Gusdorf Road – Two vehicles had crashed and a woman was bleeding from her head. Fluid and smoke was coming out of at least one of the vehicles.
12:54 p.m. Traffic hazard, Paseo del Cañon West – A caller said her vehicle had been struck with rocks thrown from another vehicle, which then fled the area.
1:29 p.m. Law, unknown problem, Kachina Lodge – A caller said some individuals had come into his office demanding money they said he owed them.
2:03 p.m. Welfare check, Albertsons – A man wearing a camouflage hoodie was carrying a rifle in a camouflage backpack.
2:09 p.m. Welfare check, Gusdorf Road – A caller said they had seen a 5-year-old girl walking by herself to Walgreens.
2:09 p.m. Shoplifting, Paseo del Pueblo Sur – A caller said a woman had shoplifted a bag of merchandise but dropped it on her way out.
3:22 p.m. Information report, Paseo del Pueblo Sur – A 27-yearold man was found unconscious near Bud’s Cut Flowers after an apparent overdose. Medics revived him with Narcan and then took him to Holy Cross Hospital.
5:56 p.m. Animal stray, Loma Parda Apartments – A caller said a pit bull had followed her home and into her apartment.
6:18 p.m. Alcohol offense adult, Taos Men’s Shelter – A man was found very intoxicated and possibly high on an unknown substance in the bunk room.
