The following is a condensed version of initial call reports taken by Taos Police from Dec. 5-10.

Dec. 5

1:03 a.m. Alarm commercial, Bella’s Mexican Grill – A caller wanted someone to check on the business. He said he had received an alert on his phone and some motion sensors were going off.

3:54 a.m. Suspicious circumstan­ce, Mariposa Apartments – A woman was outside screaming for help.

9:10 a.m. Alcohol offense adult, Deliberate­ly Fit – A woman had just left her vehicle and looked like she was drunk. Her vehicle also appeared damaged as though she had hit another vehicle.

12:33 p.m. Suicide subject, Valverde Street – A woman on the phone was telling a caller that she was going to the Gorge Bridge.

12:54 p.m. Suicide subject, Paseo del Pueblo Sur – A man said he wanted to hurt himself.

1:17 p.m. Criminal damage, Kachina Lodge – A man was locked out of his room because he wasn’t paying rent. He then broke a window to get back in.

2:08 p.m. Law, unknown problem, Holy Cross Hospital – A patient who had been beaten with a bat was admitted. The hospital was placed on lockdown at 1:50 p.m. as a precaution, but it was later lifted.

9:14 p.m. Suspicious circumstan­ce, El Cerrito Apartments – A man was looking into drop boxes in the area. Dec. 6

7:15 a.m. Missing juvenile, Camino de la Merced – A caller said her daughter was missing.

9:07 a.m. Harassment, Rocky Mountain Youth Corps – A caller said that one of her students in the youth program had been texting another student and threatenin­g to hurt someone.

12:59 p.m. Juvenile problem, Enos Garcia Elementary School – A caller said some students might have been inhaling something.

2:52 p.m. Shopliftin­g, Bealls – A man came into the store, grabbed some items and fled in a tan Chevy.

3:04 p.m. Welfare check, Paseo del Cañon – A caller said a man called the child support division in Albuquerqu­e and allegedly said that if his child support case wasn’t closed, “Blood will be on NM hands.”

3:09 p.m. Larceny, Taos Middle School – A caller said someone had stolen her daughter’s iPhone X.

9:57 p.m. Narcotics offense adult, Cohn Lane – A caller said some people were smoking drugs in a car.

Dec. 7

4:02 a.m. Unresponsi­ve, Our Lady of Guadalupe Church –A caller said that her husband was nonrespons­ive. She said she had given him a dose of Narcan and he had started breathing again.

6:22 a.m.Larceny, Amor Lane –A caller said her neighbors were taking things from her shack. She said they had entered through a side panel on the shed.

5:06 p.m. Traffic accident,

injury, Paseo del Pueblo Sur – A caller wanted to report a four-car accident

6:48 p.m. Assault, Ziggy’s – A caller said a man was inside the shop and had threatened to kill an employee.

9:33 p.m. Welfare check, Silder Road – A caller said a man had contacted a crisis line about a sexual relationsh­ip he was having with a 17 year old.

Dec. 8

1:49 a.m. Trespassin­g, Amor Lane – A caller said eight individual­s were running around her yard refusing to leave the area.

3:25 a.m. Trespassin­g, Amor Lane – A caller said a “bunch of bad guys” were outside her house.

8:06 a.m. Welfare check, Taos Post Office – A man was sleeping on the floor and a woman was looking in the mailboxes. An officer later had them removed from the property.

10:23 a.m. Civil stand by, El Cerrito Apartments – A caller said his ex-wife was refusing to give him his kids and had talked to an officer about it. The man was advised that he could set up a civil standby later in the day to sort out the problem.

10:35 a.m. Law, unknown problem, La Luz Drive – A caller said her neighbor had been dumping trash on the road behind her house.

1:33 p.m. Welfare check, Taos County Adult Detention Center – A woman with two service dogs and a lot of luggage was outside the building. The caller wanted an officer to check on the woman. The woman later said that she was trying to find a ride to Questa.

4:22 p.m. Law, unknown problem, Smith’s – A caller said a fight had taken place on the sidewalk outside the store.

6:47 p.m. Welfare check, Smith’s

– A woman in black high-heel boots and a dark jacket was telling people she would do anything to get money. A man later left the area with her.

6:51 p.m. Trespassin­g, Smith’s – A caller said a man who had stolen from the store in the past was on the sidewalk outside.

7:33 p.m. Welfare check, Taos Detox Center – A caller said someone was driving a vehicle in the area with someone riding on its hood.

11:42 p.m. Larceny, CAV Thrift Store – A caller said someone had stolen his floor buffer from outside.

11:59 p.m. Trespassin­g, El Monte Sagrado – A caller said a trespasser in the area was refusing to leave.

Dec. 9

1:12 a.m. Welfare check, La Lomita Trailer Park – A caller said a mother at the park was intoxicate­d and had hit her 10-year-old son with an openhanded strike. The caller also believed the mother might have also been high on cocaine.

7:23 a.m. Overdose, Tewa Street – A woman had overdosed on heroin, was shaking and her eyes were rolling back. The caller gave her CPR and two doses of Narcan. By the time first responders arrived, the caller and the woman had already left the scene.

10:38 a.m. Criminal damage, Natural Accents Gallery – A caller said someone had hit the pole in front of the store sometime during the night.

11:43 a.m. Criminal damage, Gusdorf Place – A man driving a gray Dodge was ramming into cars and had hit another individual.

1:56 p.m. Larceny, Herdner Road – A caller said a man in a red jacket had stolen some items from the store and then fled.

2:50 p.m. Warrant, Albertsons

– Police were looking for a man wearing a red jacket with a possible warrant.

6:05 p.m. Larceny, Walgreens

– A caller said an older man in a red flannel jacket and red boots was in the store stealing shampoo and other items.

7:09 p.m. Suspicious circumstan­ce, Gutters – A woman who had not purchased anything was walking around, getting in the way of other people’s lanes. The caller had asked her to stop, but the woman did not.

8:04 p.m. Suspicious circumstan­ce, Linda Vista Lane – A caller said a man was running around in circles. They said he appeared to be high on drugs.

10:04 p.m. Law, unknown problem, Mary D. Medina building – A caller said a group of individual­s had been camping out in the building.

Dec. 10

9:44 a.m. Animal bite, Camino de la Merced – A man said he had been bitten by a dog a day earlier and went to Holy Cross Hospital to receive treatment.

10:22 a.m. Property found, Cervantes Drive – A caller said she found a gun on her property and didn’t know where it came from.

2:28 p.m. Animal abuse, El Camino Lodge – A caller said a man at the bus stop was hitting a little black dog.

3:27 p.m. Disturbing the peace, Taos Post Office, 318 Paseo del Pueblo Norte – A caller said a man at the post office was causing a disturbanc­e and was refusing to leave.

4:29 p.m. Welfare check, Don

Fernando de Taos – A caller said they wanted a welfare check done on a man they believed is suffering from schizophre­nia.

6:07 p.m. Traffic accident, no injury, Dollar General – A man on a bike said he had been hit by a truck and broke his tooth. He said the driver of the vehicle stopped

and gave him his informatio­n.

7:13 p.m. Missing juvenile, DreamTree Project – A boy had gone missing. The caller believed he climbed out a window about 15 minutes prior to their call.

7:30 p.m. Law, unknown problem, Tierra Montosa Apartments – A caller said her son borrowed her

truck and was concerned he was going to take it to California.

11:08 p.m. Domestic disturbanc­e, Taos Inn – A caller said his wife had left after a fight. One of the windows to the hotel door had been broken.
