Taos group collects goods for families at border
A group of Taos residents are gathering donated items for a “Caravan of Love” to families in limbo at the United States border with Mexico.
José Gonzáles and the group End Family Separation will be delivering items to shelters in El Paso and other communities. “We are collecting donations for the families who await to be reunited with their children and those who are waiting for their asylum approval,” said Gonzáles. “We will take the donations to shelters in El Paso, Texas and Juarez, Mexico. These shelters are in high demand for supplies. We want to help support these shelters so they can continue supporting and helping immigrant children, women and men.”
