Of Taos Pueblo & Cheyenne/Arapaho Tribal Member passed away peacefully on 3/4/20, her loving family surrounded her. She was preceded in death and greeted with open arms by her late father Thomas “Tommy’ Lefthand Jr., mother Macrina Lucero, sisters Bernadette Lefthand-Cordova & Barbara Lefthand-Mondragon, son Rayburn Orange Jr, Granddaugh­ters Monique & Barbara Sandoval & many beloved families a, friends. She is survived by her children Antoinette Brown (Richard), Macrina Lefthand (Quanah), and Forrest Lefthand. Grandchild­ren, Antonio Lujan, Miguel & Isabella Pemberton, Casey Orange, Kyanna Brown, Anthony John Sandoval, Nikolai & Dexter Van Winkle, Lorry Ann, Cecilia & Nitonis Lefthand. Mother Josephine Lefthand, Brothers Gary (Felicia), Harold Lefthand, sister Janet (Benson) Lefthand. Great uncle Ben John Martinez, Great Aunt, Linda Anderson, and many numerous beloved family and friends. Susan lived her life like a free bird who loved to travel. She grew up here at Taos Pueblo and went to school at St. Michaels Indian School and went on to serve her community as a dispatcher/ detention officer and an intake coordinato­r/counselor with Taos

Detox Program. She lived her life in Arizona, Oklahoma & New Mexico. She settled back in with her family and lived her life to the fullest, spending her time with her children and grandchild­ren watching movies & hanging out. She loved doing arts n crafts, beading, cooking & baking traditiona­l oven bread, pies & cookies. We will miss our mother, her warm smile & hugs! Thank you for your sincere care for our mother. A special Tah-ah to the following; Taos Pueblo Governor & staff, Taos Pueblo WarChief & staff, St. Jerome Church, Deacon Quintana, Fiscales & Guadalupan­as, Taos Pueblo Health & Community Services Taos Pueblo CMS Human Resources, Rivera Funeral Home, Cheyenne/Arapaho Tribe, and Cheyenne/Arapaho Elder Program. To all our family, friends & community for your continued love, monetary support, food, thoughts & prayers during our time of loss, we thank you a million times. May you all be blessed with abundant health & prosperity. Mom, We are missing you today, but we know you will always be with us in our hearts ... We are who we are because of your loving hands. We have our sweet & compassion­ate soul from watching you & your generosity & kindness to others. We see the world full of wonder because of your imaginatio­n.
