Named after the legendary Babe Ruth, was born in 1946, to Epifanio Miguel and Mary Ruth Archuleta who have preceded him in death. He passed away following an extended illness on June 5, 2020, at Taos Living Center. He is also preceded in death by his infant son George Timothy, brothers, Jerry, Cruz, Elivinio, and Epifanio, sisters, Lucille Guerra and Lillian Duran, and son-in-law David Diaz. He is survived by his daughter, Georgina Diaz and her mother, Elaine Mora, brothers Felix, Jimmy (Dianna), and Rudy, sisters, Mildred (Angelio) DeHerrera and Stella (Ben) Martinez, brother-in-law, Gilbert Guerra, sister-in-law, Nora Lozano, grandsons, Zachary Romero and David (Angelique) Diaz, great-grandchild­ren, Lillian, Tavion, Draven, Viola, Octavia, David, Exavier, and Zarabella, nephew and caregiver Dino Archuleta, close friends Ron Tapia, Arnold Rael, Raymond Sandoval, and many other family and friends. George lived some of his earlier years in Pueblo, Colorado and Chicago, Illinois, and later settled in Questa, New Mexico, which he considered his home. A hard worker, his career included working at a hammer mill in Chicago, the Broadmoor Hotel and Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. Upon moving to New Mexico, he became an apprentice in electrical and building constructi­on, helping various builders in the area. He was a humble man and always had his door open to anyone in need. He will be dearly missed. Services are pending due to COVID-19.
