Age 70, passed away on October 15, 2020 at the Taos Living Center after a long illness in the presence of his family. He was born on March 9, 1950 in Taos, New Mexico to William Voigt and Elizaria Medina Voigt. He was married to Fabiola Trujillo on July 24, 1971. They moved to Denver, Colorado where he was employed at Continenta­l Baking Co. for 12 years at which time they returned to Taos where he worked for the Town of Taos until retiring, then he was free to enjoy hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities. He was preceded in death by his father, William Voigt; mother, Elizaria Medina Coca; stepfather Eluterio Coca, by his aunts Beatrice Gonzales, Dorothy Ridgeway, Cordella Torres, Ursulita Chavez; grandparen­ts, William and Francis Voigt, Juan C. and Manuelita Ida Martinez Medina; sister, Rosalita Duran; brothers, Hilario (Iario) Voigt, Julian Coca; stepbrothe­rs, Harry and Fred Coca; nephews, Leo Duran, Floyd Grant Jr, and parent in laws Aramante and Amelia Trujillo. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Fabiola (Faby) Voigt; daughters, Sharon Gonzales (Joe), and Eileen and Samantha Voigt; son, Chris Canales; grandchild­ren, Mariah Voigt, Lily Padilla, Deliah, Mark, Faith, and Sophia Martinez, Enrique, Amelia and Enrique Aragon, Kaitlin Canales, and Samantha Wolfe, and one great grandson Angelo Maestas; sisters, Ida Lopez, Irene Ledoux (Ernest), Corine Grant (Floyd), and Della Coca; brothers, Fred Voigt, Jose Coca; step sisters, Marcella Vallejos, Irene Ortiviz, and Lucille Trujillo (George), also one uncle Joe Medina, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with burial at the Los Dolores Cemetery in Canon.
