The Taos News

Connecting the dots of community, creativity and resourcefulness

- BY NINA SILFVERBERG

IN THE BEGINNING of the pandemic Twirl was invited by Tempo editor Lynne Robinson to produce a weekly column for the Tempo. We called it At Home with Twirl and Friends. In response to the COVID-19 crisis, we were going for a cozy and supportive Mr. Rogers feeling, asking contributors to share support, inspiration, resources and creativity to get through these hard times. Thanks to all our wonderful Friends we now have a rich archive of columns reflecting the resourcefulness and creativity of our Taos community. Visit twirltaos.org/articles, to see what our Friends shared.

We are so grateful for every single contribution and we learned so much from: Field Institute, Taos Land Trust, Silke West, Joe Brodnick, Roots and Wings Community School, Connie White and kids of Straight Arrow Road, Growing Community Now, Katie Woodall, Inspire, Tiwa Babies, First Steps, Taos Loves Kids, Taos Behavioral Health, Mindful Frontiers, Taos Education Collaborative, Media Savvy Citizens, Andy Greif, New Mexico STEAMHUB, Explora, STEMarts Lab, Youth Heartline, Kaila Dickey, KNCE, Enos Garcia Elementary Community School Initiative, SOMOS Young Writers, Academy of Performing Arts,

and Friends

Peñasco Community School Initiative, Taos Public Library, Kiki Love Productions, The Paseo Project, as well as a few written by Twirl staff.

Thank you Friends for your supportive care and colorful contributions, helping all of us getting through these difficult times.
