Ray Wolf: Low Profile
Georgia Gersh, gallerist/artist of magpie gallery, is featuring Ray Wolf’s “action” paintings through March 20, 2021. She said the 78-year-old Wolf is what she would call a painter’s painter, “but he’s not about to make a big deal of it,” she noted in press materials, “he paints when he feels it, hours at a time and sometimes days in between. A Taos resident for over 20 years, Wolf has been surprisingly underrepresented in Taos. He currently shows at Rottenstone Pottery in Arroyo Seco and has participated in many group shows in town over the years. I consider him to be one of our hidden treasures.”
