MAY 12

7:50 a.m. Alcohol Offense, Quality Inn – Employee said a guest was passed out in his car, and smelled strongly of alcohol. Two individual­s were told to leave the area until they sobered up.

8:01 a.m. Disturbing the Peace, Hotel La Fonda – Caller said a man was screaming in between the hotel and Tuesday Morning. An officer arrived on scene and had a screaming match with the man and he left. 9:04 a.m. Burglary, Morada Lane – Caller said their place was broken into last night and some tools were taken.

12:34 p.m. Civil Complaint, Taos Mesa Brewing Taos Tap Room – Caller said the restaurant would not let him in because they thought he was intoxicate­d, but he said he just had a speech impediment.

3:15 p.m. Welfare Check, Walmart – A man wearing black was running around yelling things about COVID and saying he was going to shoot Democrats in the head.

4:46 p.m. Public Indecency, Des Georges Lane – Caller said a man in a black jacket, orange and grey t-shirt and guitar was masturbati­ng in the alley. He was arrested.

8:37 p.m. Citizen Assist, Kit Carson Park – Caller said her daughter had gotten locked inside the park. Officers let her out.

11:29 p.m. Stabbing, Gusdorf Road – Caller said she heard kids outside saying “You killed him.” See story on page A6.

MAY 13

10:09 a.m. Larceny, Ledoux Street – Caller said someone kept stealing gargoyle statues out of their backyard.

3:46 p.m. Suspicious Circumstan­ces, Walmart – Caller said a 2- or 3-year-old child was alone and crying in a vehicle with no adults. A crying baby was not located. 8:39 p.m. Suspicious Circumstan­ces, Gusdorf Road

– Caller said a man with all black clothes was looking into his windows and wanted a unit to patrol the area. No contact was made.

8:47 p.m. Harassment, Enchanted Mobile Home Park – Caller said a girl from Albuquerqu­e was calling and harassing him, and said she took his cat and killed it. Both parties were instructed to block each other’s numbers.

10:02 p.m. Trespassin­g, Paseo del Pueblo Sur – Caller said a man on a motorcycle with a helmet was knocking and kicking a guest’s door. He left before officers arrived.

MAY 14

3:54 a.m. Overdose, Taos Valley Lodge – Caller said someone was overdosing on oxycodone. He was alert and coherent, but sick when officers arrived.

10:52 a.m. Psychiatri­c Behavior, Dream Tree Project – Caller said a teenaged female was having a mental episode and trying to hit herself. She turned out to have tourette’s syndrome.

2:04 p.m. Graffiti, Donabe – Caller said someone graffitied the restaurant the previous night and they had footage of the incident.

4:14 p.m. Traffic Accident, Walmart – Caller said he was just involved in a hit and run in front of Walmart. 6:41 p.m. Unconsciou­s Fainting, Taos Mesa Brewing Taos Tap Room – Caller said a man was lying on the ground next to a red pickup truck breathing, but unresponsi­ve. He told officers he had a few too many beers and refused medical attention. 9:40 p.m. Disturbing the Peace, Walmart – Caller said a man in a camper with a blue truck was yelling about drugs to random people. 10:46 p.m. Reckless Driver, Paseo del Pueblo Sur – an officer was in pursuit of a southbound vehicle going 90 mph.

MAY 15

6:25 a.m. 911 Hang Up, Holy Cross – Caller said his parents took him to the hospital and the hospital wouldn’t let him leave, then hung up. Officers made contact with the individual after he left the hospital. 11:40 a.m. Animal Stray, Smith’s

– Caller said a dog was chained up in front of the Redbox and was barking at people. The owner had gone inside.

1:01 p.m. Welfare Check, Vista Grande High School – Caller said a man wearing blue jeans and a reflective vest was laying on the sidewalk with his legs in the road. The man stated he was having a seizure and was taken to Holy Cross.

1:17 p.m. Informatio­n Report, Camino de la Placita – Caller said his mother stole his car and keys and then hung up. His mother did not have the vehicle.

1:36 p.m. Child Abuse, McDonalds – Caller said there were kids jumping around inside a vehicle in the drivethru and didn’t have any car seats. No contact was made with the car. 6:24 p.m. Informatio­n Report, Gusdorf Road – Caller said the tenant below her was making a lot of noinse all day and when she went to talk to the neighbor they pushed her. 11:24 p.m. Unknown Problem, Hotel La Fonda – Caller said his family was falsifying info on his medical records, trying to keep him locked up in different med facilities.

May 16

8:24 a.m. Harassment, Smith’s – Caller said he was trying to throw away a bag of trash at Smith’s when an employee threatened to call the cops on him. An officer told him to make a complaint with Smith’s. 8:52 a.m. Informatio­n Report, Taos Living Center – Caller said his truck was stolen from outside his room at the Taos Living Center. 2:28 p.m. Welfare Check, Albertsons – Caller said there was a woman and two children panhandlin­g in the parking lot and believed it to be child abuse.
