Gil James “Jimmy” Vigil

Age 69, of Taos and Albuquerqu­e, NM. On January 03,2022 our dearly beloved brother Gil James Vigil (Jimmy aka Biz) went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Gil was born in 1952. Gil was born to Arthur E. Vigil and Senaida Vigil. Gil graduated from Menaul High School in 1970. He enlisted into the Navy in 1971 and served 6 years in the Navy. Two of those years were in the Navy Nurse Corps. After serving in the Navy he returned to Albuquerqu­e, NM to finish his nursing degree. He started working at UNMH in 1977 and worked 25 years there. After retirement he continued to do home health work. He was loved by all of his clients. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Leslie Nicole Vigil, parents, Arthur and Senaida Vigil, sister, Becky Martinez, brother-in-law, Raymond E. Piper II, grandparen­ts, Jessie J. and Mary O. Vigil,and Gilbert and Maria Luisa Rivera. He is survived by his daughter, Heather Vigil Costello, granddaugh­ters, Isabella and Julianna Costello, goddaughte­r Sierra Ferguson, siblings, Mary Lousie Vigil, Judy Jessica Vigil, Cecilia C. Vaquera, Arthur E. Vigil (Barbara), Joseph Angelo Vigil ( Annette), Mary Antonice Piper, Mario Obed Vigil (Darlene), Teresa Trujillo (Joseph), Gilbert C. Vigil (Rocky), Adam Ferguson (Maryann), nieces and nephews, Andrea Knepp (Don), Jose Martinez, Daniel Marquez, Melissa Chavez (Michael), Pamela Vigil, Juan Abeyta, Matthew Griego (Amy), Jacquelin Vaquera, Alisha Vigil, Aaron Vigil, Deanna Overby, Angelo Vigil, Angelina Mondragon (Joseph), Raymond Piper III (Tori), Angela Piper (Crystal), Manuel Vigil, Timothy Vigil (Victoria), Veronica Doris (Elliott), Natalie Trujillo, Hailey Vigil, Trayfin Vigil, Gilbert Vigil, Israel Ferguson, Austin Knepp, Daniel Martinez, Michael Chavez, Donavan Duran, Kia-Lee Vigil, Jace Abeyta, Natalie and Anna Henson, Braiden Vaquera, Lilliannah Vigil, Izaiah Vigil, Jayden Mondragon, Kaylee Piper, Aaliyah Piper, Jasmine and Jason Salazar, TJ Vigil, Tomas Vigil, Isacc Vigil, Tesla Vigil. ). Gil also is survived by many friends that he loved as a part of his family. Gil was an avid skier, enjoyed playing tennis, loved going to Alaska and fishing during the Salmon run.
