The following is a condensed list of events that occurred in the Town of Taos:

AUG. 17

1:36 a.m. Disturbing the Peace, El

Cerrito Apartments – Caller said a woman was throwing someone’s stuff out of an apartment. No contact was made.

2:01 a.m. Suspicious Circumstan­ces, Paseo del Cañon

– Caller said a guy was banging on the door yelling that he was a bounty hunter.

3:39 a.m. Smoke, Spin and Sparkle Laundromat – The building was engulfed in smoke. Two firefighte­rs entered the building and located a basket of towels.

11:29 a.m. Larceny, Smith’s – Caller said a man stole a bunch of meat and took off toward Siler Road. He was detained, but when the officer went back to review footage there appeared to be no meat stolen. 12:15 p.m. Welfare Check, Allsup’s

– Caller said his stomach was hurting and that he was walking toward Allsup’s. He would not give his name, but when located by officers, told them he was going to Holy Cross.

AUG. 18

4:41 a.m. Welfare Check, Paseo del

Cañon – Caller said there was a guy walking in the middle of the road in his underwear. He was given a ride to his house.

2:10 p.m. Criminal Damage, Taos Canyon Cannabis – Caller said a guy was standing on a vehicle in front of the dispensary trying to smash the vehicle’s windshield. The man was taken to Holy Cross, then arrested and taken to jail.

7:40 p.m. Informatio­n Report, Super Save – Caller said four older guys were trying to fight her 17-yearold brother. Charges were not filed. 7:45 p.m. Theft of a Motor Vehicle, Walgreens – Caller said someone stole his 1999 Harley Davidson. The bike was located on the corner of Montoya and Kit Carson Road. 8:51 p.m. Welfare Check, Walgreens – Caller said there was a kid walking around with a shotgun.

9:09 p.m. Criminal Damage, Kit Carson – Caller said a man in a black cutoff shirt was trying to open mailboxes with a knife. He was detained, but then released. AUG. 19 9:37 a.m. Suspicious Circumstan­ces, Paseo del Pueblo Norte – Caller said a man was casing shops in the area. No contact was made.

1:13 p.m. Trespassin­g, Walgreens – Caller said two men were out front of the store and refusing to leave. Caller said one man then brandished a knife. Contact was made and the man denied pulling out a knife.

4:26 p.m. Welfare Check, Holy Cross – Caller said a woman left the hospital wearing a hospital gown with an IV in her arm. No contact was made.

9:21 p.m. Shots Fired, Mariposa Apartments – Caller said someone was shooting near the apartments. No contact was made.

AUG. 20

10:17 a.m. Trespassin­g, Autozone – Caller said a man wearing a leather jacket and hat was inside the store stealing items. The items were retrieved by staff.

10:26 a.m. Welfare Check, Spin and Sparkle Laundromat – Caller said a woman in the laundromat was yelling at her young son and making him cry. The woman left prior to law enforcemen­t arrival.

11:57 a.m. Larceny, Big 5 – Caller said she put her wallet down while she was trying on shoes and when she went to retrieve it, it was gone. Caller said she found the wallet in another part of the store and the money was missing. A report was filed.

12:28 p.m. Shopliftin­g, Albertsons – Caller said a woman ran out with a couple bottles of liquor and was headed south. Contact was made and the liquor was returned.

1:44 p.m. Larceny, Taos Plaza – Caller said someone stole her money pouch from a table at the plaza. A report was filed.

AUG. 21

1:25 a.m. Disturbing the Peace,

Quality Inn – Caller said there was a “very big party” in the room beneath them. No contact was made with the partiers.

6:14 a.m. Burglary, Allsup’s – Caller said he arrived at the store and noticed someone had busted out the bottom window. Caller said cigarettes were missing.

9:36 a.m. Shots Fired, Talpa Community Center – Caller said a woman shot at his RV.

2:06 p.m. Shopliftin­g, Walmart – Caller said a woman in the store was a known shoplifter and was trying to steal clothing. She was arrested and the items were returned.

5:45 p.m. Welfare Check, Kit Carson Park – Caller said teenagers were walking all over the park and sitting on things. Caller was worried about them hurting themselves. No contact was made.
