The following is a condensed list of events that occurred in the Town of Taos:

SEPT. 23

3:10 a.m. Criminal Damage,

McDonald’s — Caller said a person in a red Nissan Altima threw a rock and broke the window on his car. A report was filed.

8:25 a.m. Trespassin­g, New

Mexico Gas Company — Caller said there was a man asleep at the front door and was not allowed on the property. The caller requested law enforcemen­t to remove him. The man left the area prior to their arrival.

8:40 a.m. Criminal Damage, Zuni Street — Caller said someone broke the window on his vehicle and the rock was still in the car. A report was filed.

8:58 a.m. Trespassin­g, Albertsons — Caller said a homeless man was hanging out by the old Burger King and refusing to leave. The man left the area.

8:47 a.m. Criminal Damage,

Chocolate and Cashmere — Caller said the front window on the business was broken the previous night and the rock was still on the ground. A report was filed. 10:39 a.m. Criminal Damage,

Taos Municipal Court — Caller was reporting on behalf of Judge Emilio Chavez, saying that someone was busting the windows on Chavez’s car.

11:19 a.m. Theft of a Motor Vehicle, Bella Vista Apartments

— Caller said she caught someone on camera trying to steal her son’s motorcycle and that it was an ongoing issue.

1:11 p.m. Trespassin­g, Speedway — Caller said there was a man passed out in the back of the store and they wanted him removed. Law enforcemen­t located a man camped out in a tent outside, and he was told to pack up his things.

2:05 p.m. Stray Animal, Theodora Street — Caller said someone dropped off four puppies in her yard and wanted to see what could be done. The caller was told animal control was not on duty and Stray Hearts would only take animals through animal control.

10:41 p.m. Disturbing the Peace,

Gusdorf Place — Caller said the neighbors were having a party. Law enforcemen­t found three friends together and told them to keep it down.

SEPT. 24 6:02 a.m. Traffic Accident, Cruz

Alta Road — Caller said an SUV had rolled over into a ditch. A woman was taken to Holy Cross with an arm injury.

9:45 a.m. Welfare Check, Allsup’s — Caller said she was at the Northside Allsup’s and no one was coming out to help her. Contact was made with the clerk and everything was okay.

11:34 a.m. Larceny, Sharp Street — Caller said someone had been stealing firewood from his yard during the night, along with a decorative pot. The caller wanted frequent patrols through the area.

12:13 p.m. Shopliftin­g, Walmart — Caller said a woman put on a new pair of shoes and walked off. 8:25 p.m. Shopliftin­g, Chevron — Caller said a man stole a bunch of beer and took off on foot heading north.

SEPT. 25

12:45 a.m. Missing Juvenile, Kit Carson Park — Caller said her sister was at the park with two friends and said something happened to her sister and she disappeare­d. The caller called back stating that she found her sister at the park.

1:22 a.m. Disturbing the Peace, Taos Plaza — Caller said a guy and a girl were fighting, but they then got naked and began “doing stuff.” Contact was made with two women who appeared to be okay, and told the officer they were horseplayi­ng and teaching each other how to fight bullies. No report was filed.

10:42 a.m. Civil Complaint, Taos Plaza — Caller said he paid several hundred dollars for a pottery class but the teacher never showed up and wasn’t answering calls or texts.

1:49 p.m. Shopliftin­g, Super Save — Caller said a man wearing camo pants and a gray t-shirt stole a burrito and a Red Bull.

4:54 p.m. Shopliftin­g, Dollar Tree — Caller said a man in a brown winter jacket walked out of the store with a Halloween basket full of food. The man was found and was issued a citation.

7:34 p.m. Disorderly Conduct, Albertsons — Caller said a tall blonde man in a green overcoat was harassing customers and creating a scene in Starbucks. 11:07 p.m. Trespassin­g, Taos Valley Lodge — Caller said there were two guys in a room they hadn’t paid for yet and were refusing to leave.
