The following in a condensed list of events that occurred in the Town of Taos:

OCT. 5

5:09 a.m. Murder, La Luz Drive — Caller said someone shot him and his mom. He was taken to Holy Cross and a search ensued for the suspects. See story on page A7.

8:03 a.m. Public Affray, Taos Middle School — Caller wanted to report a fight that happened the previous day between some students and said they had a video. A report was filed.

Transport, Taos Regional

8:05 a.m.

Airport — Caller requested ground transporta­tion for a gunshot wound victim from Holy Cross to the airport. The victim was transporte­d to the airport. See story on page A7.

8:15 a.m. Suspicious Circumstan­ces, Kit Carson Road

— Caller said they heard yelling coming from a neighborin­g house and heard a male individual say something about grabbing a gun and told dispatch a person was dead. The male sounded highly intoxicate­d and listed a murder involving juveniles. See story on page A7.

Disturbing the Peace, Valverde Street

8:26 a.m.

— Caller said a man wearing all black was throwing rocks into peoples’ yards. No contact was made

8:27 a.m. Informatio­n Report, Valverde Street

— Caller said there was a man wearing all black who was jumping into traffic.

Traffic Accident, Autozone

3:19 p.m.

— Caller said a FedEx truck struck a company vehicle and fled the scene. A report was filed.

Burglary, Don Fernando

11:32 p.m. de Taos — Caller said a patron at the hotel had their TV stolen from their room and that the room smelled like cigarettes. A report was filed.

OCT. 6 Fall, Taos Valley Lodge

12:16 a.m. — Caller said a drunken man fell down the stairs and was not moving and was on the floor “crying and moaning.” 7:32 a.m. Welfare Check, Kit Carson Road — Caller said a woman in gray pants was in the roadway screaming, and looked disoriente­d. No contact was made with the woman.

10:17 a.m. Stray Animal, Apache Street — Caller said a gray Pit bull was in their yard and wouldn’t stop barking at the caller. The owner picked up the dog.

Informatio­n Report, Paseo del Pueblo Sur

11:00 a.m.

— Caller said she was run over by an individual in June, 2021, and was advised by her lawyer to report it now, due to ongoing conditions of release. A report was filed.

Suspicious Circumstan­ces, Salazar Road

12:48 p.m.

— Caller said a man with white pants and a black blazer was walking around with a big knife. No contact was made.

3:11 p.m. Disturbing the Peace, Paseo del Pueblo Sur

— Caller said a man ran out in front of traffic and started throwing items at oncoming vehicles. 6:17 p.m. Suspicious Circumstan­ces, Felicidad Lane — Caller said there was a homeless camp near her house and that she didn’t feel comfortabl­e with them there. Officers frequently patrolled the area.

OCT. 7

Disturbing the Peace, Dea Lane

1:00 a.m.

— Caller said there were about five people “banging on stuff.”

9:10 a.m. Larceny, Taos Plaza

— Caller said a woman wearing a beanie took off with suitcases containing the caller’s belongings. 10:13 a.m.

Disorderly Conduct, Our Lady of Guadalupe Church

— Caller said a man was inside the church breaking some items and refusing to leave. The man eventually left the church.

Shopliftin­g, At Home In

2:04 p.m.

Taos — Caller said a woman with lots of tattoos stole about $150 worth of flowers and took off from the area in a red convertibl­e with no back windshield and no license plate. A report was filed. 7:46 p.m. Shots Fired, Gusdorf Place — Caller said a man in a silver Honda pulled out a gun and shot out a window, called them “rats” and took off.

OCT. 8

7:11 a.m. Burglary, El Camino Lodge — Caller said several guns were stolen from his vehicle last night in the parking lot. A report was filed.

12:19 p.m. Criminal Damage, IHOP — Caller said someone broke the window to the old IHOP restaurant and thought someone may be in the building. No contact was made.

Battery, World Cup

1:26 p.m. — Caller said she was in a peaceful protest in front of the World Cup and a man grabbed her neck and tried to pull her down. A report was filed.

7:08 p.m. Welfare Check, Gutters — Caller said there was a guy lying on the side of the road between the Youth & Family Center and Weimer Road and had a laceration on the back of his head.
