TSV to host World Championships and Freeride World Tour
Taos Ski Valley will host the World Pro Ski Tour World Championships and Freeride World Tour Events this winter season, the resort announced Monday (Nov. 14), bringing some of the world’s best skiers and riders to Taos to compete.
The ski resort also announced it has formed a new sponsorship agreement with Olympic and US Ski Team skier River Radamus, a World Cup alpine ski racer from Colorado, three-time Youth Olympic Games gold medalist, and a two-time World Junior Champion. Radamus came in fourth place in Giant Slalom in the 2022 Beijing
Olympics games.
“We’re thrilled to have River Radamus become a Taos ambassador, and to continue our role as the host of these prestigious professional events because, together, they further demonstrate our commitment to the heart and soul of skiing,” said Taos Ski
Valley Director of Marketing Madeline Kelty.
The resort plans to purchase carbon offsets to minimize the impact of the event, it announced in its press release. Taos Ski Valley is a certified B Corporation and an industry leader in environmental and social responsibility.
“Taos’ values align with mine and I’m proud to have the opportunity to learn and share more about how this resort is leading the way in the outdoor industry for effective solutions in climate, equity, and community,” said Radamus in a statement. “For me, Taos is the full package: an incredible skiing experience coupled with a commitment to doing the right thing for its people, place, and the planet. I look forward to being a part of the Taos community.”
