Simon J. Feavearyear

-

Age 61 of Placitas, New Mexico died peacefully at home in his wife’s arms after a long illness on November 12, 2022. Simon spent most of his days on the planet in awe of nature, while using his mind, hands, and heart with a fierce and confident effort. Tending his loved ones, building, acting, paragliding, scuba diving, hiking, bike riding, performing, creating, cooking, drumming, visioning, playing on the beach, and exploring the world. Understanding how things and people work, fixing, and helping was a lifelong fascination. Simon had a great love for his pets and all creatures great and small. He rescued many with a tender hand and a kind heart. He was especially fond of the forgotten and of spiders. As a young entrepreneur, he began Pioneer Productions with his friend, Bob Weisfeld. Together they turned fantasies into reality through events and soon were operating large and dynamic experiences for corporations. After retiring, Simon built and operated The Toolshed Theater in Dixon, NM, and the Embudo River Retreat. The Toolshed stage became the set for many events and performances. Here he also grew and tended lavender, an apple orchard, and a love for the Embudo. He leaves his beloved wife and best friend, Stephanie Foy; his daughter Amber Feavearyear; his children by marriage, Taylor Weinheimer (Doug)and Scott Pariseau (Karley) and six grandchildren, Sophia, Eloise, Lukas, Scarlett, Justin, and Leo. Simon also leaves his mother, Kate Feavearyear, sisters Sara (David Goga) Susan Feavearyear, and brother, David Feavearyear. He was predeceased by his father, John Feavearyear (Faye Rafferty). Simon’s vibrant energy, wicked humor, and loving heart will be deeply missed. Memorial services will be held at The Dixon Toolshed on December 4th at 2pm.
