The following is a condensed list of reports made to Taos Central Dispatch within the town of Taos from Jan. 03-07.

JAN. 03

Be on the Lookout, Camino del Medio

11:31 a.m.

— Caller said a white Nissan without a front bumper was driving people off the road. 1:51 p.m. Trespassin­g, Church of Christ — Caller said someone built a “plastic house” but didn’t know who it belonged to. They also said they had experience­d a few breakins, but were unsure if they were the same people. There was also a trash bag hanging off a tree branch. 1:52 p.m.

— Caller said a man was parked near the entrance to the hospital with a “bunch of empty Fireball bottles around him.”

2:39 p.m.

— Caller said there was someone on their roof and they could hear them walking around. They stated they had a fight with their girlfriend the other day. Police arrived and found no one on the roof, noting the driveway was an “ice block” and the caller was high.

Adult Alcohol Offense, Holy Cross Medical Center Suspicious Circumstan­ce, Sunset Street 10 p.m. Trespassin­g, Taos Academy

— Caller said there were people in the culvert. Police advised them to be gone by morning.

JAN. 04

10:01 a.m. Harassment, Benedictin­e Monks of Taos Gift Shop

— Caller said someone was leaving them threatenin­g voicemails and believes it’s an individual who often causes problems at their business. 11:21 a.m. Trespassin­g, Allsup’s

— Caller said a man was camping behind Allsup’s and was stealing fencing material from the cemetery.

1:20 p.m. Civil Complaint, Otono Road — Caller said her mother was withholdin­g a pink jewelry box with $5,000 worth of contents. Police retrieved the box and returned it to the owner.

3:55 p.m.

— Caller said a neighbor was slamming doors and playing music loudly while they were trying to take a nap.

8:49 p.m. Assault, Walmart — Caller said a car was chasing a man on foot, trying to run him over. The man ran inside and someone “ran after him with a gun.”

Disorderly Conduct, Herdner Road JAN. 05 Harassment, Mariposa

3:45 a.m.

Lane — Caller said they were staying with their cousin when they woke up to him drunk and trying to hit him. Police advised both parties to go to bed. They agreed. 12:29 p.m. Harassment, Sunset Street — Caller said someone took the bulb from the light on their back porch and left a note, saying the light was bothering their neighbors. Caller was uncertain who took the bulb and left the note.

1:49 p.m. Welfare Check, Dollar Tree — Caller said two people were fighting in a field, threatenin­g to kill one another. Police arrived and found it was a group of “homies” having a rap battle.

3:20 p.m. Welfare Check, Ace Hardware

— Caller said a young boy jumped out of a truck and ran away, and the truck chased him. No report was filed.

JAN. 06

11:33 a.m. DUI Alcohol or Drugs, Taos Public Library

— Caller said a man was acting “irate” and “belligeren­t” at one of the computers. He refused to leave at first but was later spotted trying to get into a blue Subaru.

6:06 p.m.

Suspicious Circumstan­ce, Paseo del Pueblo Sur

— Caller said a man was either intoxicate­d or on drugs, walking around people with poor balance. 9:44 p.m.

Suspicious Circumstan­ce, El Cerrito Apartments

— Caller said someone was locked inside the laundry room.

JAN. 07 Harassment, Salazar

3:46 p.m.

Road — Caller said they’d been having issues with a woman, who drove their cousin’s vehicle into the roadway and left a note on the window saying “watch out.”

11:35 p.m.

Informatio­n Report, Taos Plaza

— Caller said he was robbed, and the suspects got away in a maroon van. It was later found that the caller had not been robbed but was kicked out of the van after getting into an argument with the driver.
