The following is a condensed list of reports made to Taos Central Dispatch within the town of Taos from Jan. 18-22.

JAN. 27

11:48 a.m. Criminal Damage, Carson National Forest

— Caller said they found a crack pipe and bucket of fecal matter in a shed.

7:22 p.m.

Welfare Check, Versions Store Southside

— Caller said there was a person inside the store. Police arrived, and the person told them they’re an employee. 9:22 p.m. Suspicious Circumstan­ce, La Posta Plaza — Caller said someone parked in a car and was there for a long time, possibly “smoking.” The driver said he was just dropping off his girlfriend. 9:31 p.m. Welfare Check, Weimer Road — Caller said a woman was drunk, then a physical altercatio­n occurred, and the caller became worried for his son. The woman said “Jesus is intoxicate­d as well and is driving,” although there was no indication the woman was behind the wheel. Police made contact, and all was fine.

JAN. 28 Domestic Disturbanc­e, Romero Road

2:03 a.m.

— Caller said their brother was trying to hit them with a mop.

9:11 a.m. Welfare Check, Paseo del Cañon — Caller said a man was laying down near an intersecti­on and was unsure if he was breathing. He was then seen walking around in the middle of the road. He was transporte­d to Holy Cross Medical Center. 9:49 a.m. Disturbing the Peace, Albertsons — Caller said a woman was punching a vehicle and screaming into its grille. Police made contact, and the car she was attacking was her own. She then took off on foot and knelt down in traffic before being taken into custody.

11:55 a.m. Domestic Disturbanc­e, Gusdorf Place — Caller said their brother was locked in his room with a knife, which he threw at the police vehicle as it arrived. He was transporte­d to Holy Cross Medical Center. 2 p.m. Welfare Check, United States Postal Service — Caller said there was a man “screaming, cussing and was chasing someone.” The man was “just hitchhikin­g.”

JAN. 29

9:21 a.m. Assault, La Luz Drive — Caller said a man let his dog attack the caller’s dog, and when he told him to stop, the man pulled a gun on him.

10:27 a.m. Assault, El Monte Sagrado — Caller said a minivan was speeding toward the canyon and the driver had pulled a gun on the caller.

JAN. 30 Suspicious Circumstan­ce, Quality Inn

2:06 a.m.

— Caller said a man was acting “strange,” exiting and entering his room while talking abnormally. Police told the person to stay in their room and sleep. 4:10 p.m. Suspicious Circumstan­ce, Walmart — Caller said a car in the parking lot has “sketchy people in it.” It left before police arrived.

8:29 p.m. Trespassin­g, Paseo del Pueblo Norte — Caller said a man was “out of control” and they wanted him removed from the property. Police told the man to “go to sleep” and that he would face arrest if they were called back.

JAN. 31 Informatio­n Report, Taos Police Department

11:22 a.m.

— Caller said he lent some medical records to a friend, who then refused to return them without a $1,500 ransom.
