The following is a condensed list of reports made to Taos Central Dispatch within the town of Taos from Feb. 22-26.

FEB. 22 Disturbing the Peace, Albright Street

10:57 a.m.

— Caller said a woman and her “sidekick” were drinking and screaming at people.

FEB. 23 Shopliftin­g, Family Dollar

1:39 p.m. — Caller said a woman placed beauty products in her purse. She was pointed out to the police, who found no products in her bag. 2:12 p.m. Welfare Check, Taos Youth & Family Center — Caller said a van has been parked in the lot for a while, despite “no overnight parking” signage. Police knocked on the door of the vehicle, but no one answered. The van has not stayed in the same location since it was first noticed.

FEB. 24

3:19 a.m. Disturbing the Peace, Gusdorf Road

— Caller said their upstairs neighbors were being loud. Police arrived on scene and heard nothing. The neighbors were watching television.

10:12 a.m. Trespassin­g, Walgreens — Caller said a man was sitting near the pharmacy, yelling at customers and refusing to leave.

Welfare Check, Gusdorf

1:20 p.m.

Road — Caller said they hadn’t spoken to their brother in three weeks. Police checked his place of residence and employment but ultimately found he was in jail in Santa Fe.

2:57 p.m.

Disturbing the Peace, Fred Baca Park

— Caller said a man was in the roadway and park, screaming at cars and pedestrian­s passing by. When police arrived, he fled, and officers could not find him.

FEB. 25 Trespassin­g, Chevron

2:41 p.m.

— Caller said a man, possibly intoxicate­d, was harassing customers and employees and possibly stole some items before taking off on foot toward El Taoseño.

3:28 p.m.

Suspicious Circumstan­ce, Dillon Lane

— Caller said one residence had gang activity, involving the exchange of illicit substances and the dischargin­g of a weapon. Police made no contact with anyone at the residence. No report was filed.

4:41 p.m.

Informatio­n Report, Paseo del Pueblo Sur

— Caller said there were two men engaging in a fist fight at the old Applebee’s. No report was filed.

5:35 p.m.

— Caller said there was a man possibly smoking fentanyl in the bathroom. Police gave him a ride home and found no fentanyl on him. 6:01 p.m. Reckless Driver, Weimer

Trespassin­g, Walgreens

Road — Caller said there was a driver speeding on Weimer, and officers were dispatched to search the area. The car was found at Holy Cross Hospital, the passengers getting out and running into the ER as the officer pulled in. The driver was given a verbal warning.

8:21 p.m.

Suspicious Circumstan­ce, Kit Carson Electric

— Caller said two cars appeared to be involved in a drug deal. No evidence of a drug deal was discovered. 10:37 p.m.

Domestic Disturbanc­e, Dreamcatch­er Bed & Breakfast

— Caller said they were having an argument with their associate, who they locked out of the condo. An officer spoke with both parties, who had been drinking prior and ultimately just wanted to sleep before their long drive home the next day.

FEB. 26 Welfare Check, Super

11:53 a.m.

Save — Caller said an older man was passed out in his vehicle while someone was yelling at him. 12:38 p.m.

Suspicious Circumstan­ce, Dillon Lane

— Caller said two men were verbally fighting before they both took off separately. 1:49 p.m. Adult Alcohol Offense, Walgreens — Caller said an alreadydru­nk man was asking people to buy him alcohol.
