POLICE BLOTTER
The following is a condensed list of reports made to Taos Central Dispatch within the town of Taos from March 15-19.
March 15 Suspicious Circumstance, Pueblo Lodge
12:58 a.m.
— Caller said a red car was on the lawn when the alarms began to go off.
7:18 a.m. Domestic Disturbance, Gusdorf Road — Caller said they heard their neighbors “yelling and cussing each other out.” Police arrived and found a mother was trying to wake up her daughter. 11:43 a.m. Welfare Check, Albright Street — Caller said there was a highly intoxicated man at a bus stop. Police determined he was only a little intoxicated.
1:14 p.m. Welfare Check, Holy Cross Hospital — Caller said a confused woman fled the hospital with an IV still in her arm. She was nowhere to be found.
2:29 p.m. Obscene/Threatening Phone Call, El Centro Health Clinic — Caller said a woman called, threatening to harm the clinic employees. The clinic was under lockdown due to the threat.
March 16 Trespassing, Deliberately
9:52 a.m. Fit — Caller said an intoxicated man entered the building and got “mouthy” when asked to leave. 10:56 p.m. Suspicious Circumstance, Paseo del Pueblo Norte — Caller said someone was pointing a laser at them. No contact was made.
March 17
12:35 a.m. Public Indecency, Mariposa Lane
— Caller said a woman was running around naked, yelling that her boyfriend was going to beat her up. Police arrived, and she was not naked. She was transported to a relative’s residence.
9:42 a.m.
Breaking and Entering, Weimer Road
— Caller said someone broke into a laundry room and stole all the quarters from the machines.
5:26 p.m.
— Caller said a seemingly intoxicated man with bolt cutters was looming around her neighbor’s fence. He fled when police did a drive-by. No wire appeared to be cut.
5:48 p.m. Vehicle Fire, Salazar Road — Caller said there was a car with flames coming from underneath and two individuals running from it. The fire was extinguished, and the vehicle was towed.
8:31 p.m.
— Caller said a group of 20 people was refusing to leave the pool because they were having a snowball fight. Police determined the “kids were just being kids.”
Suspicious Circumstance, Randall Lane Disorderly Conduct, Sagebrush Inn March 18 Disturbing the Peace, Taos Plaza
3:39 p.m.
— Caller said there was a man with a large speaker playing very loud music. Police asked him to keep it down, and he moved elsewhere.
6:03 p.m. Suspicious Circumstance, Kit Carson Park — Caller said they found a “plastic bag full of stuff” and a puddle of blood in the TCA parking lot. Police determined it was from a battery handled earlier in the day. No report was filed. 8:45 p.m. Battery, Hotel Don Fernando de Taos — Caller said she was “pistol whipped” by a man wearing all black on Cruz Alta.
March 19 Information Report, Albertsons
2:38 p.m. — Caller, who is pregnant, said a woman at the store wanted to fight her.
7:54 p.m. Welfare Check, La Luz Drive — Caller said there was a man “screaming and cussing extremely loud” at vehicles.
11:58 p.m. Disturbing the Peace, Gusdorf Road — Caller said two boys were “just screaming at each other” and banging on the walls.
