HAYLEY HARPER, the marketing and social media manager for Taos Mesa Brewing, reached out recently to let us know that they “are super excited about the upcoming show on Wednesday March 29.

“It’s a happy hour, open house of sorts, giving the community a sneak peek at what we’ve been up to as we continue to inch closer to a full reopen,” she explained.

The attached press release focused on the Midtopia, D Tour and Ladder to Treefort.

“They’re doing amazing work, pioneering a musical ecosystem that is both equitable and sustainable for artists, venues and promoters alike,” Harper added.

The press release states that Midtopia (an international booking company) launches with the Ladder To Treefort tour. The Ladder To Treefort tour features current Midtopia artists.

Ladder To Treefort presumes to represent “a network of independent contributors who all see the need for new models of operation within the music industry, and who all are actively working to help forge new paths to establish a more sustainable and equitable music ecosphere.”

Midtopia was founded by Kansasbased independent music advocates and entrepreneurs Adam and Jessie Hartke (Hartke Presents / Wave / The Cotillion / D Tour / Midtopia), with the intention of creating “a more informed and empowered music community built through and sustained by contributive partnerships and collaborative endeavors.”

Such collaborations include working with independent artists based out of Wichita which includes Rudy Love & The Encore, Social Cinema, The Cavves, and Keo & Them.

Running the gamut from R&B and Neo-Soul to Alternative genres including Indie Surf Rock and Punk, weather permitting, this promises to be a cool gig.

Bring rain gear just in case (‘tis the season), and wear good boots.

“This is an outdoors show,” Harper told Tempo.
