The following is a condensed list of reports made to Taos Central Dispatch within the town of Taos from March 29-April 2.

March 29

5:36 p.m. Shopliftin­g, Speedway

— Caller said a man was stealing alcohol but did not look like one of the “usuals.”

11:18 p.m. Disturbing the Peace,

Paseo del Pueblo Sur — Caller said there was yelling outside, and it was possible someone had thrown a rock at her window.

March 30

1:04 p.m. Informatio­n Report, Bullsnake Road — Caller said he saw a truck and recognized it as belonging to someone who had been stealing from his neighborho­od. He decided to follow it. Eventually, the man in the truck confronted him with a firearm and yelled at him. Police made contact with him and found the individual had not brandished a firearm. 4:03 p.m. Utility Problem, Big 5

Sporting Goods — Caller said a power line fell in the parking lot. Kit Carson Electric made contact. 6:22 p.m. Welfare Check, Gusdorf Road — Caller said a man was nodding off at the wheel and appeared unable to drive. Police made no contact.

8:44 p.m. Suspicious Circumstan­ce, Las Cruces Road — Caller said the gate to a residence, whose occupant recently relocated to assisted living, was ajar and that someone might be inside. Police arrived and determined the wind had opened the gate.

9:36 p.m. Be on the Lookout, NM 68 — Caller said a white vehicle was swerving around the road, and beer bottles were being thrown out the windows.

10:24 p.m. Suspicious Circumstan­ce, Paseo Plaza Drive — Caller said a parked vehicle kept turning its headlights on and off. Police made contact, and it was just a couple of kids in the vehicle. They were relocated.

March 31

8:11 p.m. Battery, La Fonda

Hotel — Caller said her friend kicked her in the face a “bunch of times” before taking off. 10:02 p.m. Disturbing the Peace, Taos Public Library

— Caller said there was a car with loud bass. Police made no contact.

April 1

6:45 a.m. Welfare Check, Mariposa Place — Caller said there was an individual asleep in the roadway. Police arrived, and the man was fine. He was “just napping.”

4:14 p.m. Suspicious Circumstan­ce, Walgreens — Caller said they found someone’s luggage in a trash bin. Police were able to contact the individual, letting him know they found his luggage. The man did not want his luggage. No report was filed.

8:39 p.m. Larceny, Ranchitos

Road — Caller said he bought a car in Juarez, Mexico, five months ago, and it had broken down. He was upset that he wasted his money. Police determined it was a civil matter.

April 2

9:48 p.m. Harassment, Albertsons — Caller said there was an individual in a vehicle flashing the lights and using a laser pointer. Police arrived and determined one employee was just messing with another.
