IVEY, GE­OR­GIA- On Thurs­day, Novem­ber 8, 2018, M. Carol Stur­geon, lov­ing wife of the late Wil­liam (Bill) Stur­geon passed away at the age of 75. Fu­neral Mass will be said at 10:00 a.m. Mon­day, Novem­ber 12, at Sa­cred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. at An­ti­och Bap­tist Church Ceme­tery in Dry Branch.

Mrs. Carol was born De­cem­ber 9, 1942 in Gor­don, GA. She stud­ied ac­coun­tancy at Ge­or­gia Alabama Busi­ness Col­lege. She re­tired from En­gel­hard as the ISP Co­or­di­na­tor. She was a mem­ber of the Coun­cil of Catholic Woman and won Catholic Woman of the Year in 1998. Mrs. Carol was a mem­ber of the Sa­cred Heart Catholic Church and sang in the church choir and was also a mem­ber of the Milledgeville Singers Guild.

She is sur­vived by three chil­dren, Karen Stur­geon-Brown, Kevin Stur­geon and Suellen Reece, sis­ter Bev­erly Woody of Siler City, NC and a brother Steve Hawthorne of Ma­con, 9 grand­chil­dren and 7 great grand­chil­dren.

The fam­ily will re­ceive friends Sun­day from4:00 un­til 6:00 p.m. at Moores Fu­neral Home.
