US women plan tour: The U.S. women’s soc­cer team fi­nal­ized plans for a 10game “Count­down to the Cup” tour in ad­vance of next year’s World Cup. The team will visit Europe to start the new year, play­ing France and Spain, be­fore play­ing eight matches in the United States from Fe­bru­ary through May. The games will serve as prepa­ra­tion for the World Cup in France.

U.S. host cities in­clude Ch­ester, Pa.; Nashville, Tenn.; Tampa, Fla.; Com­merce City, Colo.; Los An­ge­les; Santa Clara, Calif.; St. Louis; and Har­ri­son, N.J.
