6, 2018 WARNER ROBINS, GAGor­don Ed­ward Patterson, 87, passed away onDe­cem­ber 6, 2018. Fu­neral ser­vices and in­ter­ment with­Mil­i­tary Hon­ors will be held at the Ge­or­gia Veter­an­sMe­mo­rial Ceme­tery in Milledgeville on Mon­day, De­cem­ber 10 at 2:30 pm. Rev. Buck­yKennedy­will of­fi­ci­ate.

Gor­don­was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to the late Se­born andMal­lie Hos­mer Patterson. He is pre­ceded in death by his broth­ers, Gay­lon Patterson andDon­ald Patterson and sis­ters, Edna Earl Patterson, Janelle Gre­gory, andWynona Crow­der.

Gor­don Patterson (ret. MAJ) be­gan his mil­i­tary ca­reer at age 15 when he joined the Na­tional Guard. He also served in the Amy Re­serve be­fore en­list­ing in the Air Force Cadet pro­gram. Af­ter 22 years ofmil­i­tary ser­vice, Gor­don con­tin­ued his gov­ern­ment ser­vice as a civil­ian em­ployee teach­ing elec­tron­ics at Robins Air Force Base for­more than 20 years. His ser­vice to his com­mu­nity in­cluded church youth leader and Boy Scout leader for­many years.

Sur­vivors in­clude his beloved­wife of nearly 58 years, Emo­gene Spillers Patterson; chil­dren, James Patterson, Cindy Heath and hus­band Tim, Nan­cyMose­ley and hus­band John, four grand­chil­dren, and one great grand­child.
