“It’s more of a way to thank everyone who’s helped us get to where we are,”said Jane Bugg, KADMF marketing coordinator. “And achieve what we’ve achieved.”

Over the past 38 years, she said, KADMFhas had an impact on over 24,000 families of children who are seriously ill, injured or disabled. According to its website, the organization, founded in 1976 by Peggy Dolan, after the death of her daughter Kelly Anne, provides financial assistance for needs not covered by insurance, respite programs, and non-cash items to families in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. Approximately two-thirds of the assistance given is done in the Philadelphia area.
