Steven A. Romano Jr., 37, of Norristown, went to be with the lord on Friday, November 3, 2017. Steven was born in Philadelph­ia on April 10, 1980 and is the beloved son of Steven A. Sr. and Deborah (Hendricks) Romano. He was Michael and Heather’s big brother.

Steve was a disabled veteran and proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He served 11 years in squadrons VP-66, VR-52 and VR-58. His fantasy football name was “Stop kneeling STAND!”. Steve enjoyed playing all sports, shooting pool, coaching and mentoring. He coached Norristown A.A. senior legion baseball, Pope John Paul II High school baseball, golf, and numerous Little League baseball and football teams. He was an avid Philadelph­ia sports fan. Steve’s true passion was his family, and watching movies with his mommy. He is also survived by his grandmothe­r Gloria “Cookie” Romano, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded in death by his grandparen­ts, Raymond R. and Doris J. (Pisano) Romano, and William and Francis (Cottetta) Hendricks; sister-inlaw Jennifer (Dayoc) Romano and his cousin, Steven W. Romano Jr. Steve loved his niece and nephews, Michael Jr., Leah, Jason, Cameron, Ke’Von and John.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Mass on Saturday, November 11 at 11 AM in St. Francis of Assisi church Norristown. Burial St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

Friends may call Saturday from 10 to 11 AM at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributi­ons may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, Fischer House or National Kidney Foundation.
