Special program honors service
Forty-seven resident Veterans assembled in the William Penn Room at Brightview East Norriton in East Norriton, Pennsylvania for a celebration in their honor on Friday, November 10.
Blue baseball caps emblazoned with the words Brightview Veteran in white lettering made them easy to spot among family, friends, and associates who joined in the celebration that packed the room at the community.
“What a beautiful event,” said resident Veteran Leo Dolan, a Ground Radio Operator in the Air Force from 1953-1957. “The music… the marching… It was a wonderful tribute to Veterans. I was
honored to be part of such a well thought out presentation.”
“We are delighted to bring everyone together for this amazing day as we honor our Veterans and their service to our country,” explained Vibrant Living Director Elena Wilson. “We are so proud to be a part of it and are grateful to all Veterans who served.”
Poetry readings, speeches, a moment of silence, and a video presentation compiled by family members Dan and Loretta Doggendorf were part of the program that was attended by over 100 residents, family members, and friends.
